Bureau of Reclamation seeks to sell property near Hyatt Lake
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has announced it is seeking to sell approximately 3.5 acres of public land on Hyatt Lake next to the Camper’s Cove Resort.
A draft environmental assessment released by the bureau indicates the land has been encroached upon by the nearby resort and selling the property is preferred over the other options of restoring the land to a more natural state or performing no action.
If sold, the land would go up for public auction. Citizens have until Feb. 7 to comment on the proposed assessment.
Even though the land would become private property whoever bought the lot would be prohibited from building on the land.
