Felon with pistol arrested by troopers during I-5 traffic stop
Oregon State Police troopers arrested a felon who had a firearm on I-5 at milepost 58 southbound at approximately 3:45 p.m. Thursday.
An unidentified source notified troopers that 30-year-old Jason Grant, who had multiple warrants for his arrest out of Douglas County on burglary, theft and felon in possession of a firearm charges, was driving on the interstate.
Troopers stopped Grant who admitted he was a felon and that he had a pistol in his vehicle. Troopers arrested him and transported him to Douglas County due to overcrowding at the Josephine County Jail.
