Generator Installed at Siskiyou Community Health Center in CJ
Siskiyou Community Health Center has received a total of $30,000 from three grants from the Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems. Because of that money and matching funds from SCHC, a generator was placed in the Cave Junction Medical Center on September 30.

Plans began almost a year ago, when it became apparent that in the event of a major disaster, the Illinois Valley could be cut off from the rest of Josephine County.

SCHC was designed with a plan in place to install a generator large enough to keep the clinic open in case of a disaster or emergency. It took a crane and two men to put the generator in place.
