The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled, in regard to the Ashland watershed thinning project, that the Forest Service acted arbitrarily and capriciously in approving a project that will exceed soil exposure standards.
Shakespeare Festival to Sound Half A Million Dollars Better

County Commissioners approve resolution regarding Grants Pass Urban Growth Boundary procedures
The Josephine County Commissioners during their Wednesday Business Session today approved unanimously a resolution amending the County Coordinated Population Forecast and having a concurrence with the Grants Pass City Council in regards to procedures and planning for the cityís Urban Growth Boundary.

Mt. Ashland Set to Hold Second Hearing On Normal Neighborhood Plan
The Ashland City Council will hold a special meeting tomorrow to continue a discussion of the proposed Normal Neighborhood Plan, which would lead to the development of 94 acres within the urban growth boundary surrounding the city.
