OR-7 and Mate Produce Litter of Pups
OR-7 and a mate have produced offspring in southwest Oregon’s Cascade Mountains, wildlife biologists confirmed this week. In early may biologists suspected that OR-7, originally from northeast Oregon, had a mate in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest when remote cameras captured several images of what appeared to be a black female wolf in the same area.

Jon Allen Firehammer, 40, of O’Brien, has been charged with 2nd and 3rd degree assault, both felonies, along with a misdemeanor charge of DUII and two counts of reckless endangerment after being suspected of being drunk when he lost control of his Dodge pickup and crashed into an oncoming Ford Mustang Saturday on North River Road outside of Gold Hill.
