Former Lake County Deputy Turns Himself In; 17-yr Old Lakeview Girl Still Missing
Former Lake County deputy, Kenneth D. Turkle, age 42, turned himself in Sunday morning at the Lake County Jail. Warrants had been issued Saturday for his arrest on charges related to an investigation into an alleged sexual relationship with a 17-year-old Lakeview girl reported missing Friday.

4th Street Between “H” and “I” Closed Monday and Tuesday
Timber Mountain Construction will be performing sewer main installation work Monday and Tuesday on 4th Street between H and I Streets. Streets will be closed to thru traffic both days from 7:00am to 6:00pm.

Oregon State Police are asking for the public’s help to find a missing, endangered 17-year-old Lakeview girl who may be with a former Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputy wanted on charges related to an alleged sexual relationship with her.

Bus service between Grants Pass and Medford likely to begin in September
Thanks to a grant from the Federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality fund the Rogue Valley Council of Governments has secured a three-year pilot program that will provide bus travel from Grants Pass to Medford.

A look at the City of Grants Pass in the second week of April
The Nuisance Intervention Team patrolled the downtown area and made 19 contacts, gave eight warnings and issued three citations. Officers report nuisance offenders and offenses have been significantly reduced in the downtown, parks and other areas patrolled by NIT.

Missing Teen Girls Found
Two 15-year-old girls, reported missing from their Ashland homes Thursday night were located this morning at 7:30 and transported to Rogue Regional Medical Center where their status remains unknown at this time.
