White City Vet’s Center Suffering Norovirus Outbreak
The Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinic is limiting access to its campus because of a norovirus outbreak. Various media outlets are reporting the facility is limiting access to pharmacy pickups, blood draws, and emergency situations.

Local company raises over 233,000 pounds of food for food banks
Locally owned and operated Dutch Bros. Coffee raised over 233,000 pounds of food during their Dutch Luv Day campaign on Valentine’s Day and they have donated the food to food banks in seven states including to the Josephine County Food Bank.

SOU Hold Salary Hikes & Cuts Funding for Student Newspaper
The Associated Professors of Southern Oregon University, the faculty’s union, has settled for a new two year contract with the institution that includes little or no salary increase and no cost of living increases.

Eligible professors will receive step increases of 1 or 2 percent on their base pay.

Phoenix Installs 4-Month Ban on Marijuana Dispensaries
Monday night the Phoenix City Council approved a four-month moratorium on medical marijuana dispensaries. Several cities in southern Oregon that are banning or severely restricting the dispensaries within their city limits.

Medical marijuana dispensary applications flow in from throughout the state
The new medical marijuana dispensary program created by House Bill 3460 opened its doors statewide Monday and Jackson County turned in the third highest amount of applications.
