Gunpoint robbery over heroin debt lands a man in jail for 70 months
Judge Pat Wolke today in Josephine County Circuit Court sentenced a robber to 70 months in the Oregon Department of Corrections for taking money for an alleged debt.

Local National Guard Unit in Mobilization Ceremony Friday

Search for Murder Suspect Scaled Down
The Oregon State Police have scaled down the search for a murder suspect Wednesday in a remote wooded area of southeast Josephine County just north of the Oregon/California border. Troopers will maintain a patrol presence in the area and is urging the public to call OSP or 9-1-1 if they have information where Daniel Joseph Martinson is hiding or if they see him.

Troopers Incident Log
State Troopers arrested Michael Robert Horn, 41, of Sprague River, Tuesday night about 8:00 at the Williams Country Store after receiving a tip he was wanted by U.S. Marshalls. He was lodged on a murder warrant from Klamath County. 36-year-old Rebecca June Tompkins was accompanying Horn. She was cited and released on a fail to appear warrant also out of Klamath County.
Commissioners approve redevelopment and marketing agreement for the Dimmick Tower property
The Josephine County Commissioners during their Weekly Business Session unanimously approved an agreement with Maul Foster & Alongi, Inc., to draft a strategic plan for the redevelopment and marketing of the Dimmick Tower property.
