SOU Hold Salary Hikes & Cuts Funding for Student Newspaper
The Associated Professors of Southern Oregon University, the faculty’s union, has settled for a new two year contract with the institution that includes little or no salary increase and no cost of living increases.

Eligible professors will receive step increases of 1 or 2 percent on their base pay.

Phoenix Installs 4-Month Ban on Marijuana Dispensaries
Monday night the Phoenix City Council approved a four-month moratorium on medical marijuana dispensaries. Several cities in southern Oregon that are banning or severely restricting the dispensaries within their city limits.

The Grants Pass City Council during their Wednesday meeting at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at 101 N.W. A St. are set to approve two grants for fire suppression activities to two businesses in historic buildings in downtown Grants Pass.
