Southwest Oregon Basins Snow Pack Just 30% of Normal
One pineapple express after another brought warm rain across Oregon in recent weeks, helping boost reservoirs west of the Cascades and snowpacks in the northern mountains.

But federal hydrologist Julie Koeberle (KAY'-bur-lee) says much of Oregon can still expect water shortages this summer, particularly in the south.

Idaho Fugitives Hospitalized after Medford Shootout with Law Enforcement Officers-UPDATED
A man and woman from Idaho are in the Rogue Regional Medical Center in stable condition following surgery after a shootout with law enforcement personnel Thursday afternoon around three o’clock.

OSP and Sheriff’s Office Thursday incidents
A single-vehicle accident occurred on I-5 southbound at milepost 67. The driver, 68-year-old Ronald David Hall, was traveling too fast according to troopers and his vehicle crashed into a concrete barrier, traveled across both lanes and then collided with the guardrail destroying a portion of it. Hall was cited for speeding.

Medford Approves Moratorium on Pot Dispensaries
Thursday night the Medford City Council gave approval to a moratorium on medical marijuana dispensaries. The ordinance must have a second reading before it goes into effect.

The ordinance is an attempt to strengthen the city’s legal standing to resist issuing business licenses to dispensaries, now allowed under state law.
