Single Vehicle Crash Claims One Life Near Wolf Creek

29-year-old Daniel Rives was stopped for a traffic violation near the intersection of Redwood Highway and Dawn Road. He was lodged in jail on charges of possession of meth, felon in possession of a restricted weapon and parole violation.

Harris Beach Campground Closed
The campground at Harris Beach State Park is closed through November 20th for projects to improve drainage and access. The day-use area remains open, except for a one to two day closure for road repairs that has not yet been scheduled.

Medford City Council approves tax of recreational pot but tables medical marijuana tax
The Medford City Council during their Thursday meeting voted 5-2 to tax recreational marijuana if Measure 91, which would legalize marijuana for persons 21 years of age and older, passes during the November Election.
