Firefighters Annual Stair Climb Successful
The Grants Pass Firefighters participated in the annual Scott Firefighter Stair Climb to benefit the fight against Leukemia and Lymphoma in Seattle earlier this month and finished 16th overall against 188 teams from across the country.

The Week in Grants Pass
Representative Wally Hicks, Commissioner Simon Hare, Mayor Darren Fowler, City Manager Aaron Cubic and Stan Wolfe all attended the Oregon Transportation Commission this week with a request to form a Josephine County Advisory Committee on Transportation. The OTC Commissioners denied the request and encouraged the contingent to work with ODOT and RVACT.

Britt & Shakespeare Festival to Receive Grants from Oregon Arts Commission
The Peter Britt Gardens Music and Arts Festival in Jacksonville and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland will receive 2014 Cultural Tourism Grants from the Oregon Arts Commission to help draw out of town audiences to their events.
