Third Man Arrested in Shooting Death of Grants Pass Man
Canby Police Chief Bret Smith says an investigation shows that 43-year-old Edward Spangler of Grants Pass visited a Canby apartment complex on Sunday to complete a drug deal. During the deal, three men tried to rob Spangler and he was shot multiple times. Police say Spangler was later found next to his SUV, which had crashed into a tree in a nearby park.

$90,000 Worth of Stolen Property Recovered: One Jailed
On February 6th State Trooper detectives executed search warrants at two properties near Rogue River, at 1495 West Evans Creek Road and 12715 East Evans Creek Road. The search warrants were authorized after information was confirmed that several thousand dollars in stolen property and vehicles were at both properties. A suspect identified during the investigation named Frank Morgan Wheeler, 43, a resident at the E. Evans Creek Road property.
