Talent Pedestrian Succumbs to Injuries
Jason Leon McClanahan, 31, of Talent, died yesterday from injuries he sustained November 2nd when he was struck by a BMW as he was crossing South Pacific Highway against the traffic light.
Police say the driver of the 2007 X5, Robert A. Montgomery of Danville, California was not injured and was not at fault. No charges were recommended, although the case has been turned over to the District Attorney for review.
Authorities said the incident should raise awareness for pedestrians trying to cross busy roads. Medford Police Lt.
Bob Hansen said, “You need to pay attention to traffic lights, but be aware that drivers sometimes won’t see you.”
