SOU Learning Institute receives million-dollar grant

Southern Oregon University’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute has recently received a $1,000,000 endowment from the Bernard Osher Foundation of San Francisco to help promote adult learning in the Rogue Valley.

The Learning Institute’s goal is to provide educational opportunities for older adults by providing free classes to Learning Institute members at SOU campuses in Ashland and Medford.

This endowment is in addition to a $1,000,000 endowment awarded to the campus in 2009.

Membership to the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute costs $100 annually and allows participants to take an unlimited number of non-graded courses per year with space permitting.
