Medford Logger Dies; Chainsaw Accident
Curry County sheriff’s deputies believe chain saw injuries killed a 25-year-old Medford logger.
Teodoro Ponce-Leon was found lying next to his chain saw with injuries to his neck and face Wednesday morning, while working with a logging crew in the Chetco River Drainage on Land owned by BLM.
Deputies said it is likely the chain saw bucked toward Ponce-Leon while he was working. He was reportedly alive when authorities were called, but medics pronounced him at the scene.
