Air pollution warning issued for Rogue Valley

The National Weather Service is warning that high pressure building up in the Rogue Valley will create air stagnation beginning tomorrow, which means that citizens with lung ailments should try to stay indoors.

The pressure system will keep pollutants pressed against the valley floor and the air will be particularly bad at this time of year because of additional smoke produced from area wood stoves.

The air stagnation advisory will remain in effect until Tuesday next week when pressure in the valley is supposed to dissipate.
