Two Arrested for Car Theft and Robbery
Tuesday morning a Grants Pass Police Officer spotted a suspicious white, 2003 Toyota Corolla and followed it until it parked in the 700 block of Southeast 7th Street. Two men exited the Corolla and walked away but were detained by responding officers.
A search of the car, stolen out of Rogue River August 25th, revealed a concealed loaded handgun, burglar tools, drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Arrested were William Jack Thomas Sandlin, 24 of Grants Pass and Cody Lewis Fowler, 22, also of Grants Pass.
Sandlin has been linked to the robbery of the Lilí Pantry on Vine on August 27th by video and faces charges of 2nd degree robbery, theft 3, car theft, possession of methamphetamine and heroin, assault 4 and other charges.
Fowler is charged with car theft, carrying a concealed weapon plus unlawful manufacture, possession and delivery of meth.
