Medford Land Swap Allows Bike Path Along Larson Creek
The Medford City Council Thursday approved a land swap that paves the way to construct the first leg of the Larson Creek Trail.
Amaranth Properties agreed to give the city 1,202 square feet of its property east of Homewood Suites in exchange for 1,239 square feet of property owned by the city.
The swap will allow the city to build a bike path that will traverse along Larson Creek from the existing Bear Creek Greenway at Highland Avenue to Ellendale Avenue.
The city qualified for a $500,000 federal grant for the first phase of the path.
