The Medford Cruise rolls out classic cars and activities for the whole family
The Medford Cruise is rolling into town this weekend with a multitude of classic cars and family activities.
The events begin today with time trials and rides in a Shelby Cobra from noon to 5:00 p.m. Rides are $25 each.
Stoplight drags for vehicles from 1979 and older takes place today at 5:00 p.m. and then the all makes, models and years stoplight drags begins at 10:00 p.m. The cost of admission for spectators to both drags is $10.
An all makes and models Show ‘n Shine is held for free from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Hawthorne Park. Immediately after the Show ‘n Shine, a free concert by the DuQuanes will be held in the park.
On Saturday both a 1979 and older and a 1980 and newer Show ‘n Shine will be held in Hawthorne Park from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Then the main event begins at 5:00 p.m. in downtown Medford with the Classic Car Cruise. The cruise runs down Central Avenue at 2nd, turns right on W. Main Street, turns right onto Ivy Street, turns right onto 6th Street and then makes a left onto Front Street before returning to 2nd Street and back onto Central Avenue.
The whole event wraps up with a Movie in the Park featuring Bullitt starring Steve McQueen at dusk after the cruise in Hawthorne Park.
