MADGE Searching for Two Female Suspects on Drug Charges
The Medford Drug and Gang Enforcement team, known as MADGE, is searching for two female suspects on charges of manufacturing, possession and distribution of methamphetamine and heroin.
Wednesday afternoon the team conducted a traffic stop at the corner of Riverside and east 12th Street. The two women occupants had been under surveillance and were suspected of dealing drugs. The vehicle was seized as evidence and a search warrant was requested.
Additionally a motel room was secured and a second warrant was requested. Surveillance determined the two suspects had come from the motel room. Both women were released and advised MADGE would be contacting them.
After warrants were obtained a search of the room revealed 12 ounces of heroin. The vehicle contained a half ounce of heroin, a half ounce of meth and nearly $1,000 in cash.
The women have been identified as Sharri Lynn Turnage, 31, described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds; and Carol Lynette Pearson, five feet 9 inches tall and weighing 260 pounds.
The women are believed to have associates in Medford, but live in Northern California. MADGE is asking the public for any information or tips that will lead to the arrest of both women. Their tip line is 541-618-1847.
