ODFW is Hosting a Public Meeting For Comments on Hunting & Trapping
The Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife is hosting a public meeting Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Elmer’s Restaurant to hear comments on proposals for big game, game bird, furbearer hunting and trapping seasons.
Fish and wildlife staff will provide information about wildlife health and populations and propose the number of controlled big game hunting tags to issue this year.
The state Fish and Wildlife Commission is expected to adopt 2014 fall big game tag numbers at its Salem meeting June 5th and 6th. Concepts for the 2015 big game regulations will be presented to the Commission at the June meeting with final adoption occurring in October. Bird Hunting regulations are adopted in August.
