School board bans use of e-cigarettes
The Grants Pass School District No. 7 Board has voted unanimously to ban the use of e-cigarettes and any other possible tobacco delivery device on their campuses and during school sponsored events.
District Human Resources Director Danny Huber-Kantola says the policy change was a preventative measure. Kantola says, “We only had a couple of incidents at the high school.” The use of e-cigarettes has not been widespread on District Seven campuses.
The Eugene School Board recently banned the use of e-cigarettes and the new rule helped inspire District Seven to adopt a similar policy.
