Further details released on death of a burglary suspect
The Oregon State Police have released further details about the death of a burglary suspect.

OSP received an emergency call at roughly 7:10 a.m. Tuesday from Innovative Woodworx LLC located at 2245 Harbeck Road south of Grants Pass. An employee told authorities he was being dropped off by his father when they noticed signs of a burglary at the business. They entered the building, located an unknown male inside the premises, detained him after a brief scuffle and called 911.

Several minutes later another emergency call was received and the men said the suspect had stopped breathing and they were going to perform CPR. Paramedics arrived roughly 10 minutes later and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Jasen Robert Lewis of Grants Pass.

The investigation is continuing.
