Rogue River Woman Charged with Murder-UPDATED
The Jackson County Sheriff’s office has charged Susan Monica, 65, of Rogue River with murder.
Monica was arrested and lodged in the Jackson County Jail on Friday for identity theft and theft in the third degree. Evidence of further crimes was discovered during the service of a search warrant at Monica’s residence in the 9100 block of West Evans Creek Road in Rogue River. Two counts of abuse of a corpse have been added to the initial charges.
The name of the victim has not been released and the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s office has not made a determination on the manner or cause of death.
This office has received various tips that a significant operation was underway on West Evans Creek Road involving law enforcement agencies and Search and Rescue teams from both Jackson and Josephine counties all weekend.
