Samurai Suspect Arrested Near Beaverton
The suspect in the assault involving a samurai sword at a Grants Pass residence on November 15th was arrested Thursday by the Beaverton Police Department.
Preston James Sweaney, 23, was arrested at 2:15 p.m. on two outstanding warrants, and is the suspect in the assault in which he allegedly used a samurai sword during an argument causing lacerations to his 23-year-old brother.
He is jailed for being a fugitive from justice on a drug related warrant out of California and a Curry County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of Intimidation.
The Josephine county charges of 2nd degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon are pending.
