Medford P.D. Recovers Cars & Merchandise Stolen from Older Couple
Medford Police have made an arrest and recovered much of the merchandise stolen from a couple in their 60ís who returned from a 10 day vacation to find their home burglarized and ransacked.
Police arrested Patrick Shawn Munn, 52, of Elk Street in Medford and charged him with 1st degree burglary, 1st degree aggravated theft, three counts of 1st degree theft, two counts of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and four counts of I.D. theft. His bail is $75,000.
Detectives tracked some of the stolen property at a local pawn shop and were able to identify the individuals who pawned the property. Both stolen vehicles were recovered. The 2004 BMW was found on Seroba Circle under a car cover and the 2008 Chevy half ton pickup was found in the 2000 block of Lars Way, also under a cover.
Authorities determined Munn was committing mail thefts in the victimís neighborhood and found the accumulation of mail causing him to believe the occupants out of town.
This case remains under investigation
