Grants Pass Police Collar Dangerous Fugitive
Early Wednesday morning Grants Pass Police captured Kurt Dewayne Trujillo, 25, considered a dangerous felony fugitive by the department.

Officers responded to 1275 Rogue River Highway at 2:30 a.m. in its search for Trujillo, who is suspected of being involved in a number of crimes in recent weeks.

Officers announced their presence and watched Trujillo run to hide under a bed. They entered the residence and gave orders for Trujillo to surrender or they would release K-9 Brock

Trujillo refused and K-9 Brock executed the apprehension. Trujillo was transported to Three Rivers Medical Center for treatment of the apprehension wounds and then lodged in the Josephine County Jail.

He is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine, resisting arrest, interfering with a police officer, 1st degree burglary, 4 counts of 1st degree theft, Eluding police in a vehicle, reckless endangering, 1st degree criminal mischief, escape III, hit and run, reckless driving, two previous warrants and other charges that are being referred.
