County Commissioners Approve Letters to Governor Accepting SRS Funding Extension
The Josephine County Commissioners, during their weekly business session Wednesday night in the Anne Basker Auditorium, approved two letters to be sent to Governor Kitzhaber accepting the one year extension of the Secure Rural Schools and Communities Self Determination Act.
One letter stated the county will allocated eight percent of title II funding to the Rogue-Umpqua Resource Advisory Committee and seven percent of title III funding to the Medford District Resource Advisory Committee.
The commissioners tabled the McMahon Comprehensive Plan Zone Change because the finding of facts is not yet complete and that process will continue during the administrative meeting Thursday.
Commission Chair Simon Hare outlined the plan for business sessions for the Holiday season stating there will be a normal meeting on December 18th at 9:00 a.m. and a final one of the year on Monday, December 30th at 1:30 p.m.
