Police seeking school bus stop stalker
Two separate reports of a suspect stalking school bus stops have been reported and detectives from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety are asking for the publicís help to locate the perpetrator.
The first incident occurred at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Williams Highway and New Hope Road when the suspect attempted to convince a 12-year-old girl she had missed her bus and he attempted to coax her into his van to give her a ride to school. The school bus arrived and the suspect fled the area.
The second incident occurred at 6:35 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of E. Park Street and S.E. Vista Drive when a teenage female and several other students saw a man hiding behind his van and taking pictures of them and he then hid when the school bus approached the area.
The suspect in both cases have a similar description and police are searching for an individual described as a 30 to 40 year old white male, thin build, tan skin, curly short brown hair with facial hair, possibly a goatee, and a bottom lip piercing. His vehicle is described as a 2000ís model teal or blue minivan.
