Jackson County Grand Jury to Rule on Alleged Self-Defense Shooting
A long running feud between two neighbors resulting in a non-fatal shooting will be placed before a Jackson County Grand Jury to determine if John Davidson, 53, acted in self-defense when he shot Christopher Thomas Larson, 34, who was allegedly trespassing on Davidsonís property.
The pair had been arguing over various issues for two months causing Davidson to arm himself with a .44 caliber hand gun, because the confrontations had become more heated.
July 29th Deputies were dispatched to the 1500 block of Mill Creek Drive in Prospect to investigate a shooting. Deputies contacted Davidson, who said he shot in self-defense. Larson, who had been shot in the shoulder, drove himself away and was treated at a local hospital, then released.
Police are looking for Larsonís girlfriend, Mindy Lavon Bowen, 32, believing she could be a valuable witness, however she is hiding from several outstanding felony warrants for I.D. theft and methamphetamine.
Larson is also facing warrants for felony assault and possession of meth.
