November Shooting Incident Nets 5 Years for Robin Smith
Robin Lavon Smith was sentenced to five years in prison by Judge Pat Wolke today in Josephine County Circuit Court. Smith pled guilty to two counts of menacing and two counts of unlawful use of a firearm.
The charges stem from an incident last November 9th in which Smith fired 3 shots from a hand gun at David Barrett and Marsha Zabala, who were attempting to retrieve a hand tool from Smith’s Dick George residence. One of the shots hit and killed a dog in the back of the pickup Barrett and Zabala were escaping in.
Two counts of attempted murder and one count of animal abuse were dismissed.
