Keim Sentenced to 28 Months
Judge Lindi Baker sentenced Kevin William Keim, 54, to 28 months in the Oregon Department of Corrections this morning. Keim pled guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and assault in the third degree, constituting domestic violence.

Two Small Controlled Burns Planned Today
The Oregon Department of Forestry has two-one acre burns scheduled for today in Josephine County. They continue to burn at the Skyway Tree Farm, six miles west of Grants Pass. Four miles north of the city the second burn will be ignited at 2123 Riverbanks Road.

The Grants Pass Cavemen won their opening game on the road last night in Bend, defeating the Lava Bears 57 to 52. Micah Johnson led the Cavemen with 19 points.

Kenneth Daniel Reynolds, 38, of Medford, has been arraigned on sex abuse charges alleging he raped his developmentally disabled neighbor four times last month according to police and court records

Trooper’s Traffic Stop Nets 23 Pounds of Cocaine
Two California residents, Vincent Michael Mendez, 22, from Spring Valley, and Alyssa Panziera, 21, of Salinas, are in the Jackson County jail after a State Trooper discovered 23 pounds of cocaine in their car during a routine traffic stop.

Ashland Votes to Keep Current Main Street Traffic Pattern
The Ashland City Council voted unanimously last night to keep the road diet traffic pattern on North Main Street. In the fall of 2012 North Main was restriped to turn its four travel lanes into two travel lanes with a center turn lane.
