The Josephine County Commissioners during their Wednesday business session at 5:30 p.m. in the Anne Basker Auditorium are set to approve the acceptance of funding from the Secure Rural Schools and Communities Self-Determination Act extension.

Faulty wiring ignited a live Christmas tree in a Medford home in the 700 block of Nita Lynne last night burning a hole in the floor of the home and consuming all the presents.

A public forum was held Tuesday afternoon to discuss general strategic planning from a city level, and members of the community were encouraged to come forward and share suggestions as to what they would like to see from their city.

District 7 Sets Public Hearing on Charter School Application for January
An application for a Josephine County Charter School has been made to the District 7 School Board. At their Tuesday meeting the board scheduled a public hearing on the proposed charter school for January 14th at 3:00 p.m. in the Districtís offices on Dean Drive.

OLCC Checks 10 Medford Liquor Licensees; 4 Out of Compliance
The Oregon Liquor Control Commission, in cooperation with the Medford Police Department conducted minor decoy compliance checks this month and found four businesses out of compliance.
The checks were to combat the sale of alcohol to minors
