District 7 Board Okays Summer Meal Program; Free Breakfasts to Continue Next School Year
The District 7 School Board, at its Tuesday meeting, had nothing but praise for its Food Service department after hearing it had met all the requisites for the Healthy Kids Act of 2010 and finding there were enough credits to warrant no price increase for students next year and the free breakfast program will continue.
Three Arrested When Multiple Agencies Raid Three Homes
Tuesday morning at 5:15 the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office assisted by the Medford P.D., the State Police, RADE, and combined SWAT teams served search warrants at homes located in the 900 block of Broad Street, the 900 Block of Royal Court and the 3,000 block of Cheltenham Road, all in Medford. Three people were arrested.
G.P. Councilors look further at utility fee for jail beds

Second Body I.D.’d in Susan Monica Murder Case
Criminalists with the Oregon State Police Crime Lab have identified the remains of the second body found on Susan Monica’s property in January. The remains have been positively identified as Stephen Frank Delicino, age 59.
18-year-old intentionally crashes car near Gold Hill
An 18-year-old Gold Hill resident is being treated for injuries in Rogue Regional Medical Center and undergoing a mental health evaluation after he crashed his car into a power pole along Highway 234 about five miles north east of Gold Hill Monday at roughly 3:30 p.m.

Tyler McGinnis, from Gold Beach, driving boat #9 again dominated the Tom Rice Memorial Whitewater Hydroplane race on the Rogue as part of the Boatnik Celebration. McGinnis, after a slow start in the park, won all four legs of the Memorial day event.

Grants Pass Department of Public Safety officers arrested a man Saturday at approximately 11:15 a.m. at 419 S.E. K Street for falsely saying a man was armed in the area with a handgun.

The Grants Pass School District No. 7 Board during their meeting at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the district’s administration building at 725 N.E. Dean Drive are set to vote on the approval of the 2014 Summer Meal Program.
