Year Old Search for Missing White City Man Still Active
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for their help in finding Christopher Jon Evans, 26, of White City. Today marks the one year anniversary when family and friends last saw him. Chris was reported missing to law enforcement on July 29, 2013. Today is also Chris’ 26th birthday. According to family members who saw Evans, he was in White City and Eagle Point before disappearing.
9th Circuit Rules on Ashland Watershed Thinning Project
The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled, in regard to the Ashland watershed thinning project, that the Forest Service acted arbitrarily and capriciously in approving a project that will exceed soil exposure standards.
Shakespeare Festival to Sound Half A Million Dollars Better

County Commissioners approve resolution regarding Grants Pass Urban Growth Boundary procedures
The Josephine County Commissioners during their Wednesday Business Session today approved unanimously a resolution amending the County Coordinated Population Forecast and having a concurrence with the Grants Pass City Council in regards to procedures and planning for the city’s Urban Growth Boundary.
RCC Receives Math Grant
A grant in the amount of $337,000 has been awarded to Rogue Community College from The National Science Foundation, which will be used to develop a new math curriculum.

Mt. Ashland Set to Hold Second Hearing On Normal Neighborhood Plan
The Ashland City Council will hold a special meeting tomorrow to continue a discussion of the proposed Normal Neighborhood Plan, which would lead to the development of 94 acres within the urban growth boundary surrounding the city.
