Eagle Point Mum on Teachers Carrying Concealed
The Eagle Point School District has decided not to encourage teachers with concealed weapons permits to carry on school property, but the district’s employee handbook no longer prohibits staff from bringing a firearm to school.

Grants Pass City Report
The City of Grants Pass reports the police department made 56 arrests and issued 50 citations in the week ending Friday. The Nuisance Intervention Team made 18 contacts, giving out nine warnings and issuing seven citations.

Talent Joins the List of Cities Voting to Tax Marijuana
The Talent City Council voted unanimously Wednesday night to tax recreational marijuana if measure 91 is passed in the November general election. Measure 21 would allow people over the age of 21 to manufacture, possess and sell marijuana.
