Medford man arrested for shooting his own dog
A 60-year-old Medford man was arrested at 9:02 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of Ross Lane after his neighbor contacted authorities and told them the suspect had shot his own dog.

Governor John Kitzhaber announced that he is accepting applications for two judicial positions on the Jackson County Circuit Court to fill the vacancies created by the retirement of Judge Daniel L. Harris, effective July 1, 2013, and Judge G. Philip Arnold, effective September 1, 2013.
