Charges alleging sex abuse that were filed against a former Eagle Point School District counselor have been dismissed by the Oregonís teacher licensing agency.
MADGE Arrests Two on Heroin Charges
The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement investigators arrested two suspects last Wednesday after serving a search warrant on a camper in the 100 block of Washington Street. The warrant was based on a drug investigation surrounding Dennis William Lee, 44, whose address is listed in Sacramento.

The Grants Pass City Council during their Monday workshop discussed updating the strategic plan for the Public Safety system while at the same time holding a performance audit.
USFS/BLM Christmas Tree Permits Now Available
Christmas tree permits are now officially available at Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management Offices, as well as at numerous vendor locations in southwest Oregon. Some locations may offer tree permits a little later than the official start date so it is recommended you call the local office to check permit availability. The permits allow for the cutting of personal-use trees for Christmas and other holiday events. A permit is required for the harvest of each individual tree.
Sunday Public Safety incidents
A woman drove her vehicle into a brick wall in the Video World parking lot. Her vehicle was rendered inoperable. She told authorities she had dropped videos while driving and the accident occurred when she attempted to pick them up.
