Evacuations remain in place along Highway 96 as the Happy Camp Complex of fires continues to grow and throw smoke into southern Oregon. No new evacuation notices have been issued. Some 250 rural homes have been evacuated so far but no structure losses have been reported
790 Fire Limits Access to Lost Creek Lake
Due to fire suppression activity for the 790 Fire burning in the Sky Lakes Wilderness, parts of Lost Creek Lake will have limited public access for public use. Through 6:00 p.m. Monday the northern part of the lake will have restricted access.
Grants Pass Man Charged with Manslaughter
Friday Johnathon Lee Perkins, 28, of Grants Pass was arraigned in Jackson County Circuit Court on charges of second-degree manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and driving under the influence of intoxicants.
