Efforts to Recall Medford School Board Members has Begun
Recall paperwork has been filed against Medford School Board Members Sally Killen, Jeff Thomas, Marlene Yesquen, and Kim Wallen. The chief petitioner is Curtis Blake Weller of Medford. Petitioners may not start gathering signatures until the paperwork has been approved by the Jackson County Clerkís office later this week.

Terminated Jacksonville Fire Fighter Sues City
Alan DeVries, a fire fighter who was terminated from the Jacksonville Department in February of last year, has sued that city alleging he was fired because he brought attention to deficiencies and other problems within the Department.

Oregon State Police weekend incidents
Troopers chased a vehicle that failed to yield on Bridge Lane. The vehicle eventually crashed into an embankment and the driver and a passenger fled on foot. Neither suspect was located.

School District No. 7 votes on making Career Academy course mandatory
The Grants Pass School District No. 7 Board during their meeting Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. in the districtís administration building at 725 N.E. Dean Drive are set to vote on the approval of making the course Career Academy mandatory for all high school students.

No Agreement Reached in Medford Teachers and District Bargaining
A day-long bargaining session Saturday between the Medford School District and the Medford Education Association ended without an agreement and little progress. A brief negotiation session is scheduled for Tuesday as school begins amid the districtís first teacher strike.
