Ashland representatives made a plea to the Medford Water Commission Wednesday for the construction of a disaster pipeline but the commission was concerned about the proposal due to a current pipeline being constructed.

Gang tags may fade with graffiti removal grant
A grant awarded by the Oregon Youth Development Council in the amount of $31,379 will go towards the removal of gang graffiti in the Medford city limits and towards gang intervention classes for area youth.

Medford Chooses Highest Bid for Police Remodel; Contractors Protest.
Batzer Construction, Vitus Construction and the Ausland Group have sent letters to the city of Medford charging the bidding process to remodel the police evidence locker was not fair and alleging the public’s best interest was ignored when city staff recommended a bid of $474,000 from Adroit Construction be accepted.
