OR-7, the GPS collared errant lone wolf, seems to be retracing his mate seeking path after leaving Jackson County for California last April. No other wolf sightings have been reported locally since his border crossing, so he is likely to remain a bachelor.
Three New Troopers to be Assigned to Southern Oregon
24 newly hired recruit troopers will be sworn in at 4:00 p.m. this afternoon before family and friends at the Oregon Public Safety Academy Hall of Heroes in Salem. Three new troopers are headed to Southern Oregon with 2 being assigned to the Central Point Command and one directly to the Grants Pass office. This is the first group hired to start training for a career as an OSP trooper since September 2011.
