Employees spotted Trevor Gene Cheney, 20, of Medford in the store, notified authorities.

Ashland police seized more than a hundred opium poppy plants from a home on Oak Street Wednesday and arrested a man and woman for endangering the woman’s 6-year-old daughter

Also seized were psilocybin mushrooms and marijuana in what appears to be the largest drug bust in Ashland for years.

In Josephine County Circuit Court this morning Dennis Devon Willian, 66, was sentenced to 9 years in prison with a provision for no early release, and 10 year probation and ordered to pay over $3,000 in fees and assessments for four counts of sexual abuse.

Jackson County Detectives are seeking help in determining what may have happened to the deceased male found floating in Applegate Lake Tuesday afternoon.

A boater discovered the body floating face down in the water along the east shore of the lake opposite the Copper boat ramp.

Two people are still hospitalized with serious injuries following Saturday’s fatal crash on upper Applegate Road.

Police released the names of all involved including 47-year old Lynne M. Tibbets of Medford who was driving the GMC Sports Utility Vehicle. Tibbets is the mother of 20-year old Douglas Auberry, who was killed in the crash.
