A 71-year-old Talent woman was rescued Tuesday at approximately 8:46 a.m. after her 2000 Mazda Protégé plummeted off a 100-foot cliff on Old Highway 99 near the Mt. Ashland Ski area.

Myrtle Creek Man’s Body Discovered in Hubbard Creek
The body of a 78-year-old Myrtle Creek Man was discovered Monday evening in Hubbard Creek. He had been reported missing since 3:30 that morning from his home on Irving Drive in Myrtle Creek.

City Council votes on Tyler Technologies contract
The Grants Pass City Council during their Wednesday meeting at 6:00 p.m. in council chambers at 101 N.W. A St. are set to vote on a contract with Tyler Technologies to provide a new Enterprise Resource Planning system including business and financial software, e-permitting and document management.

37-Year Sentence for Sex Abuser/Pornographer
An Eagle Point man was sentenced to 37 years in prison yesterday by Judge Owen Panner in U.S. District Court in Medford. Christopher Keith Hammer, 43, avoided life imprisonment by accepting the mandatory minimum sentence for child pornography in a plea deal.
