A one-acre fire in the area of Redwood Highway and Rockydale Road south of Cave Junction has been just about knocked down, according to the Oregon Department of Forestry.

The small blaze ignited at about 2:40 p.m.

A helicopter, two engines and a six-man crew were sent out, with several other units en route told to stand down.

An exploding gasoline container blew the top off a moving van in southeast Medford Sunday morning.
