Josephine County March for Babies Raises $30.000
Plenty of calories were burned and turned into $30,000 earned to help fund prenatal wellness programs, research grants, neonatal intensive care units, family support programs and advocacy efforts for stronger healthier babies.
Hubbard Lane “Road Closure”
Beginning Monday, April 29th, Hubbard Lane between Redwood Avenue and Elmer Nelson Lane will be fully closed to through traffic for the installation of drain pipe, widening of the Sand Creek box culvert, repaving of the road, and sidewalk installation.
Voter Registration Deadline April 30th
Tuesday, April 30th is the last day for new registrants to register to vote in the May 21st Special Election. Registration cards postmarked by April 30th will be accepted.
Ford Family Foundation Grant Boosts Southern Oregon Site (ART) Project
The Schneider Museum of Art and Southern Oregon University art department will be collaborating with established Oregon artists, student artists, and writers to complete a prototype project that will become an annual new works program at SOU. The Ford Family Foundation’s Visual Arts Program has provided a $36,000 grant to support this effort.
