Police Identify Second Forgery Suspect
Last Saturday Medford Police were notified two men had left a bag of cash in a Medford motel. Officers arrived to find $3,000 in counterfeit currency and while they were on scene the two returned, ran to a second motel and ultimately ran to the Alba baseball fields.

Timber Companies Sue Forest Service & B.L.M. over Logging Halt
Three timber companies, in conjunction with the American Forest Resources Council, filed suit in U.S. District Court in Medford against the U.S. Forest Service and B.L.M arguing the government has no authority under timber sale contracts to force loggers to stop working.

Details Released on Serious Collision that Hospitalized Two
The Medford Police Department has released additional details on that serious accident at Riverside and Stewart Avenues on Monday night that left one man in critical condition at OHSU in Portland and a 73-year-old man in serious condition at Rogue Regional Medical Center.

Medford Man Arrested for Ashland Murder
Early this morning Jackson County Detectives arrested Merlin Elmo Bound III, 34, at his home in the 500 block of Boardman Street in Medford and charged him with murder, 1st degree assault, and 1st degree robbery in connection with the death of Frank Ronald Damiano of Ashland

Commissioners set to approve collective bargaining agreement
The Josephine County Commissioners during their Wednesday business session at 9:00 a.m. in the Anne Basker Auditorium are set to vote on the approval of a collective bargaining agreement with the Sheriff’s Association and the Federation of Oregon Parole and Probation Officers.
