Jackson County Sheriff Searches for Knifepoint Robber
The jackson County Sheriff's Deputies are searching for Christopher P. Devine, 37, of Medford, who is suspected of robbing a 69-year-old man at knifepoint in the Bear Creek Greenway at mid-morning today.
RVTD to Ask Jackson County Voters to Okay Property Tax Levy
The Rogue Valley Transportation District will ask Jackson County voters to approve a five year levy of 13 cents per $1,000 of assessed property value. That is in addition to the 17.72 cents per thousand currently being charged home owners.

ODF Gets 2nd Fire Fighting Helicopter
The Oregon Dept. of Forestry's Southwest Oregon District welcomed a second fire-fighting helicopter onto the Medford Unit's helipad Monday. The new helicopter is a Huey Type II that can haul and drop big buckets of water onto wildfires.
