Major Fire North of I-5 Along the Freeway-UPDATED
A major fire has broken out along the north side of I-5 between exits 55 and 58. Several departments on the scene are battling the blaze that stretches at least two miles along the Interstate and is estimated at 50 acres.

Search & Rescue Seek Two Prospectors in Kalmiopsis
The Josephine County Sheriff's Search and Rescue received a report this morning of two lost men who had been airlifted to a location in the Kalmiopsis Wilderness last week to prospect. The men who were due back Wednesday had not hiked out as planned, but had been able to make cell phone contact with family members to advise they were lost, family members contacted law enforcement

$10K Reward Offered for Conviction of Individuals Responsible for Burning the Cave Junction Post office
An investigative team including the Illinois Valley Fire District, the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Office, Oregon State Police, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and private insurance have determined the conflagration that consumed the Cave Junction Post Office as an incendiary fire. All accidental, building system and natural causes have been eliminated.
