Rogue River Drive Fire 50% Contained
The 492-acre Rogue River Drive Fire is 50 percent contained and 344 firefighters are assigned to mop up hot spots today. Crews and equipment assigned to the fire include: 14 20-person crews,15 engines, 9 water tenders, and 3 bulldozers. The firefightersí primary objective is to mop up hot spots within 250 feet of the fire line.

Favorable Weather Calms Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest Fires
Cool temperatures and frequent showers have significantly dampened recent fire activity. Only three new smokes have been reported but not confirmed since yesterday, all on the High Cascades Ranger District. Two smokes are within the former Bitter Complex managed area and one within the Sky Lakes Wilderness.
Medford Police Search for Missing Man
Medford Police have issued a missing person notice for Colton Taylor Webster, 35. He left his residence at about 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in his 2002 Silver Saturn 4-door sedan with Oregon license plate #068EEB.
