Police Officers Collar Suspected Burglar in 3 Minutes
Grants Pass Police detained a suspected burglar within three minutes of 9 1 1 being notified Monday afternoon. Jailed was Jacob Tyler Cottrell, 20, of Murphy.

Two of the three victims in a helicopter crash that occurred east of Canyonville in the South Umpqua River have been identified as Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife employees.

Bear Creek Clean-Up on Medford’s Council Agenda
A Bear Creek clean-up plan will be discussed at the Medford City Council’s Thursday meeting. At noon in City Hall the Council will discuss a comprehensive plan to clean up the banks of the creek from 10th to McAndrews Avenue, eradicating the area of invasive species and replanting native vegetation.
