So. Couple Pleads Guilty to Fraud & Tax Charges
Kenneth Johnson, 62 and Diana Arredondo, 56, pled guilty to federal charges stemming from their work at the Super 8 Hotel in Central Point. Johnson pled guilty to wire fraud and filing a false tax return. Arredondo pled guilty to filing a false tax return.

‘Cover Oregon’ Conducts Application Fair in Medford Tomorrow
In an effort to increase application activity for ‘Cover Oregon’, the state’s health insurance exchange, application fairs are being staged to enable people to get secure insurance starting January 1st. The Medford session is Wednesday from noon to 8 p.m. in the Ramada Hotel and Conference Center on Biddle Road near the north Interstate 5 exit.

Medford Conducts Operation C.A.R.E.
Several Medford city officials and community leaders tonight will be canvasing the area of Olympic Avenue and Morrison Avenue, surveying residents to identify concerns that could improve community livability. Named Operation C.A.R.E. for Community Awareness Rejuvenation Effort, the approximately 50 individuals will be determining concerns about social services, public safety and code enforcement.
