Xmas Tree Setup Now Scheduled for Monday A.M.; 5th Street Open Till Sunday Night
Fifth Street from the alley to G Street is open and will remain open until sometime Sunday evening. This station was notified by the Department of Public Safety the closure would start Friday November 22nd to allow for the placement of the Towne Center Associationís 40í Christmas Tree.

Dog Shooter Jailed for 15 Days
Terry Donald Nixon, 60, of Medford pled guilty to first degree animal abuse, unlawful use of a weapon, and reckless endangerment Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court and was sentenced to 15 days in jail.

Ashley Gideon was contacted and arrested by authorities for allegedly stealing multiple bags of cans from a business. She was lodged in jail on multiple charges including theft, criminal trespass and failure to carry a license.

Medford Woman Gets Jail Time for Supplying Heroin to Inmate
Jade Renee Powell, 26, of Medford was sentenced to 20 days in jail yesterday after pleading guilty to paying a nurse $500 to deliver heroin to her inmate boyfriend.

Christmas Tree Setup Friday; Partial Closure of 5th Street
The setup of the 40 foot tall Christmas tree begins tomorrow in downtown Grants Pass. The setup will result in the partial closure of 5th Street from the alley to G Street to accommodate the Holiday Plaza. The alley will remain open.
